Introduction of the Regenerative Medicine Center
Regenerative Medicine Center was established in April 2020 to lead research in the field of regenerative medicine in preparation for the enforcement of the “Act on the Safety of and Support for Advanced Regenerative Medicine and Advanced Biological Products.”
Currently, Regenerative Medicine Center is establishing infrastructure for clinical research on advanced regenerative medicine and operating preclinical projects for advanced biopharmaceutical development. On February 14, 2022, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital was designated as the Advanced Regenerative Medicine Implementation Institution by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Regenerative Medicine Center is in charge of all tasks related to advanced regenerative medicine. We share with various researchers information on laws and regulations related to advanced regenerative medicine through regular meetings and newsletters, and we are also building good manufacturing practice (GMP) to discover joint research projects with industries in the field of advanced regenerative medicine and develop advanced biological products.
