We are the research arm of the three pillars of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, which is leading the digital culture by conducting basic research on biological phenomena and research related to clinical trials: education, research, and care. Together with the Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, a state-of-the-art digital hospital, we hope to contribute to human health by researching and developing advanced medical technologies.

The Biomedical Research Institute at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital was established to contribute to human health by laying the foundation for clinically-based research and developing advanced medical technologies based on accumulated medical know-hows and outstanding researchers. Facing the fourth industrial revolution era, we are playing a leading role in improving the quality of medical care and realizing the future of medicine by developing cutting-edge innovative medical technologies.
The Biomedical Research Institute consists of the Research Planning Division, Research Support Division, Digital Healthcare Research Division, Future Innovation Research Division, and Research Administrative Affairs. We operate the Research Planning Center, Technology Licensing Office, and Startup Incubation Center within the Research Planning Division to promote the development of medical industry through clinical research and clinical-based technology projects. We also operate the Research Laboratory Center, Medical Device R&D Center, and Medical Research Collaborating Center within the Research Support Division to respond to the rapidly changing healthcare R&D environment on the basis of basic research.
The Future Innovation Research Division operates the Human Bioresource Center, Regenerative Medicine Center, and Center for Precision Medicine, focusing on research on personalized precision medicine including new drugs and cell therapy, and the Digital Healthcare Research Division operates the Big Data Center and Center for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare to lead future medicine such as disease prediction and prophylaxis
Furthermore, we contribute to the advancement of medicine and improvement of human health and quality of life by enhancing clinical medicine and activating joint studies with national and private research institutes through systematic and organized world-class activities
